Passions of Paradise offers a brand new, 25 metre high performance catamaran which sails daily from Cairns to two unique outer reef locations, where you can dive and snorkel with turtles, colourful fish and see an amazing variety of corals.
Snorkelling is fabulous, guests can snorkel above untouched coral gardens teaming with schools of fish and marine creatures!
Being a new vessel there is brand new high quality snorkel equipment provided on board with plenty of sizes to choose from. Full snorkelling tuition is provided by the vessel's professional friendly staff and flotation belts are available for extra comfort. Guests can choosed to join the crew on a complimentary guided snorkel tour or explore the wonder of the underwater world as part of their own adventure. Qualified staff are close by ensuring everyone’s safety. Snorkelling is available at both locations giving you plenty of time to explore two diverse reef eco systems in one day
Scuba Diving is also available with the vessel catering to both beginners and experienced divers. Come and see why scuba diving is one of the top things to do in Cairns! Let the vessel's experienced crew take you on the adventure of a life time, diving at pristine Great Barrier Reef locations. Make friends with a Giant Maori Wrasse or a follow a friendly Sea Turtle over the beautiful coral gardens of the Outer Barrier Reef. In addition to snorkelling, scuba diving is available on every trip and can be booked today online or on the dayof travel.
Introductory diving (for non licensed divers and complete beginners) is a safe and fun Great Barrier Reef adventure that allows you to get up close to turtles, giant clams, clown fish, coral trout, barramundi cod and a variety of colourful corals. All introductory scuba divers start from the safety of the Passions of Paradise catamaran and dive in a calm, shallow lagoon full of marine life. Group sizes are small with a maximum of 4 participants to 1 Instructor.
Certified Diving, Certified scuba divers have an amazing range of exclusive reefs to dive with a selection of drift dives, wall dives and swim throughs. The Passions of Paradise specially designed glass bottom dive tender will take you to the best locations on the day for a fully guided dive with all your equipment, including wetsuits and computers, provided.
Your day out will include a a fantastic Tropical Smorgasboard Lunch with morning and afternoon teas included and of course the vessel's friendly and professional crew are there to assist you in every way to ensure that you enjoy all your in-water activities.
The highligh of the day on the way home, is sailing! The skipper cuts the engines with the sails unfurled, it’s time to sail! When the wind blows, you get to go fast (12 to 14 knots is common in fresh winds)! If the wind is light, then you get to sail at a more relaxed pace.
Return into Cairns Marinas at approximately 5.00pm in the afternoon having experienced the Outer Barrier Reef and the thrill of sailing!

Each diver is required by law to complete a statutory medical declaration form before partaking in any in-water activities. Diving is available to Introductory Divers on successful completion of a Dive Medical Questionnaire. Some medical conditions or medications may prevent you from scuba diving unless a current Queensland Diving Medical Certificate can be shown to the Dive Instructor.
For example: heart disease, asthma, epilepsy or diabetes can preclude safe diving. Please contact us prior to travel should you have any concerns. It is also recommended that divers do not fly within 24 hours of the last dive.
The minimum dive age for Introductory Diving is 12 years of age. Certified Divers should bring Dive Certification Card or Divers Logbook as proof of certification
