Half Day Green Island Fly & Cruise

Green Island is a short  20 minute flight from the Cairns Heliport and you'll see Cairns City and Marina from the air before following the coast line of False Cape and Cape Grafton and then turning out to sea. This spectacular scenic helicopter flight gives you the opportunity to see Green Island from the air and visit other Reefs in the area before touching down at Green Island's Helipad. On arrival the helicopter operator's ground crew will meet you and brief you on the package's inclusions and attractions! 

There are a number of activities available on Green Island which might attract your attention; you may wish to go snorkeling and take the glass bottom boat, as both activities are included in your package.

There's also a host of other activities incluing the option to visit a working crocodile farm at Marine Melanesia (entry at own expense) or hire a variety of craft from Green Island's Beach Hire including, paddle-ski and canoes (at additional cost). Alternately there is always the option to enjoy the peace and serenity of Green Island by finding a shady tree around the quieter parts of the island and lazing on the island's sandy white beaches with turquoise waters as a stunning backdrop!

This fun half-day is yours to enjoy, to do as little or as much as you please.

At the conclusion of your half-day at Green Island, you'll board a fast, modern and spacious Catamaran for your return trip back to Cairns. This transfer time is a short 45 minute trip and will see you arrive back into Cairns Marinas at approximately 3.30pm. .

• 09.30am Check-in at Cairns City Heliport for a meet and greet and safety briefing before boarding your flight to Green Island. 
• 10.00am: Depart Cairns to fly out to Green Island
• 10.20am: Arrive Green Island Heli Pad 
• 2.30pm: Depart Green Island via fast catamaran for return to Cairns Marinas 
• 3.30.pm: Arrive Cairns Marinas and make your way back to accommodation 

• Flight out to Green Island (approximately 20 minutes) for a half-day stopover with 4 hours free time on Green Island

Bring small soft sided day bags as luggage space is restricted on helicopter. Dress for the tropics and bring a hat, sunglasses, your swim suit & towel, sunglasses, camera, hat and sunscreen.

There are food outlets, Bars and Souvenir shops also in the resort area on Green Island. Options on the Island include Scuba diving and guided Snorkeling tours and a visit to a Crocodile farm. Further information on these activities can be gathered from the Information Desk on Green Island.
Terms & Conditions Passenger Weight Policy 
Due to Aviation Weight Restrictions a client’s body and luggage weight must be advised prior to the reservation being confirmed. Should a client advise a weight variance of more than 10%, the right is reserved to charge a 100% cancellation fee. 

Child’s Rate Policy 
One (1) infant under their 3rd birthday may travel free of charge if seated on a guardian’s lap. A maximum of one infant per helicopter may travel as per CASA regulations. Children 3 years and above pay full fare. 

Insurance 
The helicopter operator carries full insurance including Public Liability Insurance of $50,000,000.00. 

Minimum and maximum passenger numbers 
Minimum passenger numbers may apply. Groups larger than 6 passengers may require private charter. Please liaise with Cairns Visitor Centre at time of booking. 

Fuel Surcharge
With fluctuations in world oil prices, it may be necessary to apply a fuel surcharge to the ticket price. In such cases any charge will be collected on departure. 

Cancellation Policy
Booking Deposit Non Refundable. Bookings cancelled 48 hours or less prior to departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
