Green Island - Discovery Adventure Package

Only a short 45 minute catamaran transfer away, Green Island is a beautiful 6000 year old coral cay and is the gateway to the adventure playground of the Great Barrier Reef – one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Revel in an array of activities or relax and let you day unfold. Stroll through magical rainforest, laze on the white coral sands, swim, dive or snorkel amongst an amazing array of tropical fish and coral gardens, or enjoy the well-appointed day visitor facilities.

The Green Island Discovery Adventure Package will include return high speed catamaran transfers (with a choice of departure times) from Cairns on a daily basis, as well Glass Bottom Boat Coral Reef Viewing Tour and Snorkelling Equipment.

You will also be able to purchase a variety of extra activities such as, entry to Marineland Melanesia’s Aquarium and Croc Show, the Underwater Observatory at the of the jetty or try a boat snorkeling tour with the crew at the Dive Shop.

Throughout the course of the day, you will have access to Green Island Resort’s stunning facilities including huge saltwater swimming pool and cocktail bar! Choose from a range of affordable meal and snack options from the Island’s restaurant and food outlets, the Canopy Grill, Lite Bites or Green Island Resort’s Emeralds Restaurant at additional cost.

Green Island Optional ActivitiesIntroductory Diving - Includes Full Gear Hire, Instruction & GuideScuba diving is the best way to see the reef and no experience is necessary to take a fully supervised Introductory Dive. Professional and experienced dive instructors will guide you through every aspect of your dive, allowing you to have a relaxed, enjoyable experience. After your introductory dive briefing which takes about 30 minutes, you’ll gear-up and then start your dive experience in the island swimming pool for a skills practice session with your instructor. Now you’re ready for your dive adventure, you’ll head down to the beach where you will board a dive tender for a short boat ride (about 7 minutes offshore), to experience scuba diving at one of our four Green Island dive sites
