The vessel is always moored within easy distance of spectacular snorkelling coral lagoons and has a purpose built snorkelling platform 'on level' with the ocean via easy access stairs into the water.

All snorkelling equipment and tuition is included in your trip as are Guided Snorkel tours with your Personal Crew Member / Guide throughout the day! Whether you are a non-swimmer or you’re just interested in learning about the colourful marine life and corals beneath the waves, all of your snorkelling needs will be accommodated with personalised attention.

All snorkelling locations are selected for optimal conditions depending on the prevailing weather conditions and time of year. Depending on the length of your stay onboard, you will be introduced to a number of different Outer Barrier Reefs and snorkeling locations, as the vessel moves locations throughout the day. The Great Barrier Reef is home to a more fish, coral and marine creatures than anywhere else on our incredible planet! Swim alongside turtles, find Nemo and his family and maybe even encounter some graceful rays.and large fish including the stunning Maori Wrasse!

The vessel boats other creture comforts, a large indoor dining area and saloon, library and lounge areas with games and reference materials which are a perfect enhancement to your time onboard, as well as Glass Bottom Boat Tours (weather permitting), spa bath and large sunlounge area on the upper deck. 

All snorkelling equipment including wetsuits and stinger suits & prescription lens masks (if required), glass bottom boat tours, a la carte meals and Deluxe Top Deck Club Stateroom accommodation with all linen including towels are included in the rates. 

Top Deck Club - Deluxe Option - Certified Diving Packages For those that hold an Open Water Dive Certification, Certified Diving is available. We visit a selection of reef locations during the course of your liveaboard, chosen for e optimal conditions depending on prevailing weather and seasonal conditions. Dive locations will offer excellent coral formations and abundant marine life in warm tropical waters. Don’t miss the night dives and dawn dives! They are arguably the most magical times to be diving on the Great Barrier Reef as they are the ‘busiest’ times of day in this incredible ecosystem. 

Your Personal Crew Member ‘in-water guide’ will tailor your scuba dives to your experience level, ensuring comfortable and fun dives in prime Outer Barrier Reef locations. As a Top Deck Club scuba diver, a professional crew member will exclusively lead you on private underwater tours. This guarantees you prime diving experiences throughout your trip. With thorough knowledge of each reef destination, our resident expert will show you the most pristine areas at each dive location. Depending on the length of your stay your trip will include a number scuba dives across different dive locations.Reef Encounter is equipped with a large, purpose built, dive platform for easy access into and out of the water.

Top Deck Club - Deluxe Option - Introductory Scuba Diving Packages Our No School Scuba Introductory Diving package offers fantastic ‘no experience necessary’ Introductoory Scuba Diving to guests who do not hold a current scuba diving certification. Introductory Diving is for those who do not hold a scuba diving licence but who wish to participate in scuba diving activities during your holiday on the Great Barrier Reef. 

As a Deluxe Top Deck Club participant all Introductory Diving is conducted in a private setting under the supervision of your Personal Crew Member who is a fully qualified Scuba Diving Instructor. Scuba diving is a fun and safe sport that is accessible to people of all ages and abilities (* Minimum age for trying a Introductory Dive is 12 years). Your experienced and professional Scuba Diving Instructor will guide you on underwater tours around pristine coral lagoons and ensure you see the best of the Great Barrier Reef beneath the waves, in safety and comfort.

An SSI dive qualification is internationally recognised and can be used anywhere around the world. All classroom facilities are onboard the vessel, making it the ideal choice for learning to scuba dive while enjoying every minute of your Great Barrier Reef holiday. All locations visited offer clear, confined, calm and shallow lagoon areas that are perfect for scuba dive training. We believe that completing your entire scuba diving course in the ocean, as opposed to the first half in a swimming pool, produces more confident and experienced divers by the end of our training program. Your experienced Instructor guarantees you receive the very best dive education. All training is done from the vessel, cutting out the need to travel to classroom and pool facilities.

A Deluxe Top Deck Open Water Learn to Dive Course has loads of wonderful benefits on top of a standard Open Water Course!
Firstly, you are guaranteed private tuition. If you book a Top Deck Club Open Water Course then the crew member assigned as your personal valet will also be your Scuba Instructor, so their whole job onboard the boat is to look after you! This means they do not need to schedule your classes around other passenger’s needs, you are their one and only priority! So whether you’re travelling on your own, as a couple or as a family, there will be a personal Scuba Instructor for every step of your training, looking after all your onboard and in-water needs.

Learn at your own pace and enjoy your reef. Your Course offers five water sessions a day and one night dive. Working together with your personal Scuba Instructor you can choose which times of day you want to schedule your dives and when you want to relax and just enjoy being at the Great Barrier Reef! Fancy a sleep in? No problem! Want to complete a night dive just for fun instead of having to attend a theory class? You can!

Additional Certified Dives After you have completed the required number of training dives for certification, any additional dives that you do will be fun dives as a certified diver. This is a great opportunity to practice your new skills, gain experience and just have some great fun! We are passionate about scuba diving and we guarantee that upon completion of your course, you will be too. Depending on when you choose to complete your eight training dives, this may leave you as many as four certified dives at the end of your trip (3 daytime dives & 1 night dive).

Upon successful completion of the course you will receive an Open Water Diver license; which is a lifelong, internationally recognized scuba diving rating and can be used anywhere around the globe!
