Your day tour on the Great Barrier Reef will include guided snorkeling tours with all snorkeling equipment and tuition included, a delicious BBQ Lunch including a selection of delicious, fresh local produce with steak, fish, prawns, sausages and tropical salads (vegetarians are catered for on request) and your will get to visit two Outer Barrier Reef locations in the one day!
Locations visited have been carefully selected for the clarity of the water and the abundance and diversity of marine life. Reef locations visited are, Norman, Saxon and Hastings Reefs with sites chosen by your vessel’s captain on a day by day basis, helping to afford the best protection, underwater visibility and snorkelling and diving opportunities by taking into account the day’s prevailing weather conditions.
For Snorkellers; reef snorkelling locations have been selected for their variety and bottom contours in order to provide the best experience for both beginner and experienced snorkelers. The vessel’s crew keep a constant watch over snorkeling sites both in and out of the water, making sure all passengers are able to enjoy snorkelling in perfect safety.
Introductory Divers can try Scuba diving without any previous training or experience! That’s right, even if you have never dived before and have always wished to experience firsthand the beauty of the underwater world you can arrange an Introductory dive with one of the vessel’s friendly and professional Dive Instructors (Introductory Diving is available at additional cost).
For Certified Divers there are two exclusive dive locations, with plenty of time between dives for snorkeling and relaxation. Certified divers can enjoy up to three dives on two different outer reef locations on the Great Barrier Reef. All gear and equipment is included (Certified Diving is available at additional cost).
There is also an option to take a Semi-Submersible Submarine tour. From the comfort of the vessel’s brand new semi-submersible; the ‘Sub-Explorer', you will able to view spectacular coral formations and the masses of brilliantly coloured fish without getting wet. A full Great Barrier Reef commentary and fish feeding is provided on the tour.
Arrive at the first site of the day and spend up to 2 ½ hours snorkelling or diving before moving to on to the second reef location of the day and taking a break for lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon, snorkelling, diving and perhaps enjoying some of the available optional activities such as the semi submersible submarine tour or scenic reef helicopter flights.
After completing your day on the Great Barrier Reef, kick back and relax on deck as the crew entertain you on the trip home, with music, fun and laughter as well as being served a complimentary glass of wine and cheese, fruit platter! Arrive back into Cairns at approximately 4.30pm

Enjoy an expertly guided day tour of the Daintreee Rainforest aboard a custom built 4WD vehicle, this immersive wet tropics experience showcases the flora, fauna and diverse landscapes of the oldest continually surviving rainforest on the planet.
Highlights include a scenic coastal drive, a 1 Hour Daintree River Cruise, guided rainforest walk, lunch in a beautiful rainforest setting, the opportunity for an invigorating rainforest swim, free time at Cape Tribulation beach, complimentary tropical fruit ice-cream and a cable ferry crossing of the Daintree River.
Your naturalist guide will pick you up from accommodation in the early morning and drive north from Cairns along the scenic Captain Cook Highway. This stretch of highway which winds along the coast north of Cairns to Port Douglas is one Australia's top scenic drives, carrying you through Port Douglas and on to the emerald green rainforest of the Daintree area. Here lush farmland contrasts with the ocean and seascape as you make your approach to the majestic Daintree River.
On arrival at the river, it’s time for a short morning tea break then its all aboard for an informative river cruise on the Daintree River. Relax and enjoy the splendour only the Daintree can offer as you learn of estuarine crocodiles, mangrove forests and wildlife, viewing nature at its finest. Your guides are Eco Accredited and will be able to give an excellent interpretation of this complex and unique river system.
Cross the Daintree River in your vehicle via the Daintree River Cable Ferry and proceed to ascend the Alexandra Range before pausing for a panoramic view of World Heritage Tropical Rainforest merging with the azure colours of the Coral Sea. Experience the rainforest intimately on the elevated 'Jindalba' National Park Boardwalk, where small flowing creeks mingle with World Heritage Listed Rainforest. Accurate interpretations of the region's flora and fauna will be given by your guide with ample time for photographs and questions as you search for a glimpse of the elusive, rare and totally unique Southern Cassowary and other wildlife species within this particular habitat.
Discover ancient ferns, palms and enormous woody vines, while a myriad of epiphytes, climbing plants and orchids cling to the giant limb and trunks of emergent rainforest trees. An abundance of shade loving mosses, invertebrates and nutrient recycling fungi litter the rainforest floor, which combined with a range of endemic birds, reptiles, rainforest macropods and more, weave an intricate web of life that has shaped this fascinating environment over its 180-million-year history.
Lunch, including tea/coffee and a seasonal fruit platter is served in a beautiful rainforest se?ng with opportunity for an invigorating rainforest swim including chance sightngs of jungle perch, saw-shelled turtles and the dazzling electric-blue Ulysses butterflies.
For over 50,000 years, Cape Tribulation beach (Kalkajaka) has held immense cultural significance for the local Kuku Yalanji Aboriginal
people, while providing modern day visitors the unique opportunity to witness the only place on earth where two World Heritage Listed sites converge; where the 'rainforest meets the reef'!
The day concludes with a delicious tropical fruit ice-cream made from 100% locally sourced ingredients, followed by a cable ferry crossing back over the Daintree River before returning to your accommodation in the late afternoon, arriving back after 5.30pm (Port Douglas), 6.00pm (Cairns Northern Beaches) and 6.30pm (Cairns) with a drop off to accommodation.
