Green Island is a short 20 minute flight from the Cairns Heliport and along the way you'll see Cairns City and Marina from the air before following the coast line of False Cape and Cape Grafton and then turning out to Sea. This spectacular flight gives you the opportunity to see Green Island from the air and visit other Reefs in the area before touching down at the Green Island Helipad. The helicopter crew will meet you and brief you on the attractions the Island has to offer.
Your full day package includes a Glass Bottom Boat Coral Viewing Tour with commentary, entry to Green Island Resort’s Island Swimming Pool and Day Visitor Facilities as well as use of Snorkeling Equipment including Lycra Snorkel Suits.
This fun filled day is yours to enjoy. To do as little or as much as you please. At the conclusion of your day on Green Island, you'll board a Fast Catamaran for your return transfer back to Cairns. This relaxing 45 minute trip will bring you back to Cairns harbor where a coach will be waiting to transfer you to your Cairns accommodation.
- 09.30am: Check-in at Cairns City Heliport for a meet and greet and safety briefing before boarding your flight to Green Island.
- 10.00am: Depart Cairns to fly out to Green Island
- 10.20am: Arrive Green Island Heli Pad
- 04.30pm: Depart Green Island via fast catamaran for return to Cairns Marinas
- 05.30pm: Arrive Cairns Marinas and make your way back to accommodation
- Flight out to Green Island (approximately 20 minutes) for a half-day stopover with 6 hours free time on Green Island

From the 01st of April 2023 the helicopter operator will no longer offer Optional Return Coach Transfers from Cairns City or Cairns Northern Beaches accommodation. Passengers will be asked to check-in at the Heliport in Cairns City at the Pier Complex adjacent to the Marinas.
Bring small soft sided day bags as luggage space is restricted on helicopter. Dress for the tropics and bring a hat, sunglasses, your swim suit & towel, sunglasses, camera, hat and sunscreen.
There are food outlets, Bars and Souvenir shops also in the resort area on Green Island. Options on the Island include Scuba diving and guided Snorkeling tours and a visit to a Crocodile farm. Further information on these activities can be gathered from the Information Desk on Green Island.
Terms & Conditions Passenger Weight Policy
Due to Aviation Weight Restrictions a client’s body and luggage weight must be advised prior to the reservation being confirmed. Should a client advise a weight variance of more than 10%, the right is reserved to charge a 100% cancellation fee.
Child’s Rate Policy
One (1) infant under their 3rd birthday may travel free of charge if seated on a guardian’s lap. A maximum of one infant per helicopter may travel as per CASA regulations. Children 3 years and above pay full fare.
Insurance
The helicopter operator carries full insurance including Public Liability Insurance of $50,000,000.00.
Minimum and maximum passenger numbers
Minimum passenger numbers may apply. Groups larger than 6 passengers may require private charter. Please liaise with Cairns Visitor Centre at time of booking.
Fuel Surcharge
With fluctuations in world oil prices, it may be necessary to apply a fuel surcharge to the ticket price. In such cases any charge will be collected on departure.
Cancellation Policy
Booking Deposit Non Refundable.Cancellations made 48 hours or less prior to departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
