Why not broaden your diving skills and participate in an Advance Learn to Dive Course whilst in Cairns? Our selection of Advance Open Water Dive Courses which depart to the Great Barrier Reef from Cairns are designed to allow those who already hold Open Water Dive Certification to continue their diver education. Cairns Advance Open Water Dive Courses are designed to give the newly certified, the not so experienced divers or those wanting to increase their knowledge of Scuba Diving added confidence and enjoyment through additional skills and training.
Prerequisite for participation taking an Advance Open Water Dive Course is holding a current Open Water Dive Certification. Cairns Advance Open Water Courses will usually comprise of 3 prerequisite dives including Advance Navigation Dive, Advance Night Dive, Advance Deep Water Dive plus an additional two selected dives from selections including Advanced Boat Dive, Advanced Search and Recovery Dive, Advanced Underwater Naturalist Dive, Advanced Multi Level Dive and Advanced Photography Dive.
There are no formal pool and classroom sessions to complete on land, the only obligation is that participants study and learn from relevant chapters of their Advance Open Water Dive Course’s included Dive Manual and complete skill and knowledge reviews at the end of each chapter. Advance Learn to Dive certification courses are available from Cairns all year round and are generally conducted over a minimum of 2 or 3 days (your choice) whilst living aboard a dive vessel out on the Great Barrier Reef.
