The Tour

An ideal for option for visitors who are short on time and wish to make the most of their stay in Cairns! Combining the Rainforest with Kuranda Scenic Train & Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and two hours on the Great Barrier Reef in one day!

Your day starts with a courtesy transfer from accommodation to the Kuranda Scenic Railway Station to be boarded on the Kuranda Scenic Train to Kuranda Village. Enjoy this scenic, historical train journey with informative commentary through the winding Barron Gorge, past waterfalls to arrive in the picturesque Kuranda Village. Once in Kuranda Village enjoy a small amount of free time to explore the village and its attractions including the Kuranda Markets. Departing from Kuranda Village on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway you will glide over 7.5km (the longest passenger cable car in the world) of pristine World Heritage listed Rainforest, suspended high above the lush tropical canopy.

Transfer from Skyrail’s Caravonica terminal to the Cairns Heliport for an awesome scenic flight over the Great Barrier Reef to an exclusive helipad landing at Hastings Reef to meet up with MV Osprey on the Outer Barrier Reef. Here you will enjoy lunch and a range of underwater activities including snorkeling, swimming along with the option to do the Semi Submersible Submarine Tour (additional cost).

Cruise back into Cairns at the end of the day via fast motorized catamaran to arrive at the Marlin Marinas at approximately 4.45pm with return transfer to accommodation.

Please Note: This is a full day tour with two separate touring locations. In seeing two locations in the one day there is the Train & Skyrail Tour with a small amount of free time in Kuranda Village plus 2 hours free time on the MV Osprey on the Outer Barrier Reef. If further time in Kuranda or on the Great Barrier Reef is required, our 2 Day Touring option is is recommended.

Passenger Weight Policy
Due to Aviation Weight Restrictions a client’s body and luggage weight must be advised prior to the reservation being confirmed. Should a client advise a weight variance of more than 10%, the right is reserved to charge a 100% cancellation fee. Maximum Passenger Weights may apply.

Child’s Rate Policy
One (1) infant under their 3rd birthday may travel free of charge if seated on a guardian’s lap. A maximum of one infant per helicopter may travel as per CASA regulations. Children 3 years and above pay full fare.

Insurance
The helicopter operator carries full insurance including Public Liability Insurance of $50,000,000.00.

Minimum and maximum passenger numbers
Minimum passenger numbers may apply. Groups larger than 6 passengers may require private charter. Please liaise with Cairns Visitor Centre at time of booking.

Fuel Surcharge
With fluctuations in world oil prices, it may be necessary to apply a fuel surcharge to the ticket price. In such cases any charge will be collected on departure.

Cancellation Policy
Booking Deposit Non Refundable. Cancellations made 48 to 24 hours prior to the flying will be incurr a 50% cancellation fee. Flights cancelled 24 hours or less prior to travel will incurr a 100% cancellation fee. Travel insurance is recommended.

Conditions of Carriage
The tour operator will not be liable for any loss, damage, additional expense or inconvenience arising from, or incidental to, any delay in service, howsoever caused. The tour operator works in conjunction with other tour operators and is not liable for other operator's acts or omissions whether negligent or otherwise. Travel and admissions will be subject to the conditions imposed by these operators, which may limit or exclude liability for personal injury or property damage.
