The MV Evolution departs Cairns daily and offers a fast, comfortable and affordable cruise vessel with five hours spent visiting two spectacular Outer Great Barrier Reef destinations. This brand new, large, luxury catamaran provides a superior ride in all weather conditions, no big crowds and exclusive protected Reef locations. Your day tour will include a delicious BBQ Lunch including a selection of prawns, fish, steak, sausages, vegetarian, tropical salads and pastas. Outer reef locations are selected for their variety and bottom contours in order to provide the best experience for complete beginners and experienced snorkelers or divers of all ages. The vessel’s staff keep a constant watch over the snorkel and dive sites making sure all passengers can enjoy an amazing experience of the Great Barrier Reef in perfect safety.

For the complete beginner your will be offered one-on-one tuition on gear use and snorkeling techniques, a selection of buoyancy aids (foam noodles, life jackets and wetsuits) and free Snorkel Guides are available all day long to guide you through the natural maze of beautiful coral and fishes.

Snorkel supervisors are all experienced Dive Masters who are happy to provide you with  in-depth briefings and tips on snorkelling, safety procedures and site orientation which offers you a great way to find all the 'cool stuff'.

Introductory Diving (no experience necessary) is available on-board and allows participants to try Scuba Diving without any previous training or experience! If you have never dived before and want to experience firsthand the beauty of the underwater world why not try an Introductory Dive with one of the vessel’s friendly and professional Dive Instructors?  Participants will need to successfully pass a Dive Medical Questionairre as some pre existing  medical conditions can preclude one from safely diving. 

Certified Divers are offered two exclusive locations with plenty of time between dives for snorkeling and relaxation. Certified Divers can enjoy up to three dives on two different outer reef locations on the Great Barrier Reef.

There is also an option to take a semi-submersible submarine tour (currently available Free Of Charge)! From the comfort of the vessel’s brand new semi-submersible  the ‘Sub-Explorer', you will able to view  spectacular coral formations and the masses of brilliantly coloured fish without getting wet. A full Great Barrier Reef commentary and fish feeding is provided on the tour.

Scenic Helicopter Flights and Transfers are offered from the vessel’s exclusive helicopter pontoon at Hastings Reef. Participants can experience a spectacular scenic flights over stunning reef locations or fly home in style while taking in the amazing aqua blue colors and expanse of the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef.
