Cairns Ballooning Tour with Barron River White Water Rafting

The Tour

Your balloon gently floats above the tips of blue gums and paper bark trees, with the wide open spaces of the Tablelands below with fantastic 360 degree views. Your ballooning pilot is very experienced and trained to Australia's highest standards, so sit back and enjoy the freedom of balloon flying while he looks after your safe and gentle ride. Keep an eye out for kangaroos and some of our unique local wildlife as you go. Binoculars are on board to capture sightings of local birdlife too. Come back to earth gently then continue the fun by helping us pack up.

After ballooning you will be transferred back into Cairns to accommodation for a short break before being picked up to commence your rafting tour. Only 20 minutes from the centre of Cairns, the Barron River is a fantastic introduction to White Water Rafting. The Barron River offers guaranteed water levels all-year-round and what’s more; no experience is necessary to raft these Grade 2 & 3 rapids! Fully trained guides will give you all the tuition and equipment needed for this exciting afternoon of white water rafting!

Pick-up at hotel by coach for your special package tour and transfer to ballooning grounds.Sunrise Experience the fun & unique sensation of hot air ballooning in the Atherton Tablelands, Australia. Return and Landing, balloon pack-up and lots of laughs.

9.00 am - 9.30am 
Return back to Cairns hotel accommodation by coach

2.00 pm Approximately  
Your experienced whitewater rafting River Guide will pick you up from hotel or other designated pick-up point (if preferred) and transfer you to the top of the Barron River (Grade 3 rapis) just a short 20 minutes drive from Cairns.

2.30 pm
Arrive at Barron Gorge Power Station. Split up into crews for briefing. You'll spend just under two hours on the river. The Barron River is a Grade 3 river, great as an introductory experience and for those looking for a shorter rafting trip than the full day Tully River Rafting Experience.

5.00 pm
Finish off whitewater rafting trip with return transfers on Rafting coach to your accommodation, or other places around town. Just let the driver know where you would like to be dropped off
