The Cruise
This world cruising yacht is fully set up to cater for all divers (from first timers to the most experienced of divers), snorkellers and for those wishing to stay dry and still enjoy the magic of the Great Barrier Reef.
For those more interested in just relaxing and enjoying the sun, the forward deck and stern roof top sundeck provide ample space. All cabins are twin berth for privacy along with fresh linen and hot showers included in the excursion’s pricing. This sturdy sixty foot vessel has been recently refitted to near new status and being fully air conditioned, makes it pure comfort for those hot and balmy tropical nights spent onboard.
Aboard Rum Runner the vessel’s crew will show you the exotic wonders of the Great Barrier Reef. All snorkel/diving equipment and instructors are available for first time snorkellers and divers alike and you can be assured that your safety and enjoyment a priority. If you have not dived before and would like to try it, then this is the trip for you!
Certified divers will explore and view and tropical marine life at their own leisure as this vessel will dive at sites that only they can visit. Drift Dives, night dives and swim-throughs are some of the adventures available whilst onboard Rum Runner. As well as providing all dive equipment most importantly the vessel has its own dive compressor, which guarantees good quality air throughout the duration of the cruise.
If you are not interested in diving; then snorkelling is a great way to see the smaller marine life and corals in the warm temperatures near the surface of the reef! All equipment and tuition is provided for, so that even the most nervous of ‘first time’ snorkellers can enjoy the sensation.
The destinations visited include Thetford, Milln and Flynn reefs. These reefs are a little further out to sea so you can be guaranteed the reef sites are in untouched condition with a clearer visibility.
