Itinerary
|
Day 1 |
Reef Endeavour sets sail for Fitzroy Island amidst a fanfare of streamers. Time to relax and be carried away on your Barrier Reef adventure |
|
Day 2 |
Two Isles - Imagine an island so tiny you can circumnavigate its shell strewn beach in less than an hour. Two isles is your own uninhabited coral cay where the only sounds are the local bird life and the waves on the coral reef. Cooktown - Captain Cook sought refuge here to repair his ship during
his epic voyage of discovery. The town itself was later carved out of
the Cape York wilderness during the gold rush. Today Cooktown is a living
museum of pioneer Australia |
|
Day 3 |
Lizard Island - A blue lagoon yachties dream about and long white sandy beaches. Lizard Island is the jewel of the reef. For those who know the beauty of sunrise at sea, an early morning climb to the island peak is rewarded with panoramic views. Snorkel over coral gardens only metres from the beach. Hand feed fish from the glass bottom boat - then slip away for a romantic stroll along a balmy bay. The Pacific Island Night will complete a perfect day in paradise |
|
Day 4 |
Ribbon Reef No. 5 is one of the Marine Park's most spectacular and remote destinations lying on the edge of the true 'barrier' reef and home to a profusion of unbelievable sea creatures. For armchair coral viewing, join the Marine Naturalist on the glass bottom boat. Tonight celebrate at the Captain's Dinner - a gala night to remember. |
|
Day 5 |
Reef Endeavour returns to Cairns 08:00am |
The Cruise
As the world slips away from the bow, you will wake each day to a new adventure
- on the Ultimate Great Barrier Reef Cruise. Reef Endeavour will carry you beyond
the reach of holiday crowds to wonders few have seen or experienced - exotic
island hideaways, soft sandy beaches, balmy bays and remote outer reefs. Our
own Marine Naturalist will introduce you to the beauty of the Reef as well as
the intricate ecology that created it. You will come to know the countless varieties
of flora and fauna, both land and marine, on a cruise where we are ever respectful
of the environment.
Reef Endeavour offers roomy tropical lounges with panoramic views, cocktail bar, baby grand, video, lift, library, gift shop and 24 hour self serve coffee bar. By day, the Dining Saloon has a tropical atmosphere, with lavish breakfasts and luncheons featuring fresh Barrier Reef seafood and local delicacies. In the evening the ship's chefs seek to outdo last night's meal with superb a la carte international dining. After dinner there is dancing and entertainment or romance under the stars.
Reef Endeavour's state-of-the-art design features all the latest technology
and comforts for a total Barrier Reef experience - computerised navigation,
satellite communications and four onboard reef vessels including glass bottom
boat, snorkelling and dive tenders.
