Since 1983 Pro Dive Cairns has developed and maintained an international reputation as the premier dive company in Cairns. Their modern purpose built diver training centre provides some of the best facilities available. They have 16 spectacular dive sites over 4 different reefs and provide one of the best outer reef liveaboard experiences from Cairns. This company is committed to the idea that, regardless of level, any diving activity taken with Pro Dive should be safe and enjoyable.

The first 2 days of your 5 day Learn to Dive Course are spent learning the theory and underwater skills of diving. Days 3, 4 & 5 are spent onboard one of Pro Dive’s 3 fully equipped, purpose built multi-million dollar dive vessels. The vessels carry only 32 passengers and the itinerary allows for a total of up to 9 dives in total – the first 4 dives are your training dives, which are followed by 5 pleasure dives (weather permitting). Cabins onboard are ALL TWIN SHARE. Courses commence 6 times per week and can be done in English, German or Japanese.

You will find that this is one of the more expensive courses however this is because they incorporate all costs in the one price – there are no hidden extras. We do strongly recommend that you pre-book this course as it is one of the most popular learn to dive options.

• English courses commence every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday (every day except Sunday) all year round
• German courses are available every Tuesday & Friday

• 11:30am Your first Training Dive in the ocean before lunch and second dive after lunch. You will also have a lot of time for snorkelling

• 6:30am Third Training Dive before Breakfast. This will be the deepest training dive for your certification
• 10:30am The last Training Dive for your PADI Open Water Certification Course. Now You are a Certified Diver!!!
• 2:30pm Your first pleasure dive as a certified diver
• 7.00pm A guided night dive after dinner. Another great experience!

• 6:00am Three more pleasure dives before lunch
• 3:30pm Return to Cairns

• Course Cost 5 Day Learn to Dive AU$795.00 per person

• An additional fee of AU$60.00 per person per is payable directly to Pro Dive. This fee consists of a $10.50 Government Environmental Management Charge, Port Departure Tax and Administration Charges. This charge is applicable to all persons travelling on the 3 Day 2 Night Liveaboard Dive Trip and all Dive Courses combining the 3 Day Liveaboard Excursion.
• A Dive Medical can be arranged by Pro Dive on day 1 of your course - a fee of AU$55.00 (includes GST) payable direct to the doctor. Australian Medical Standards are different to those overseas. A medical obtained in another country will most likely not be valid in Australia.

• The ability to swim
• Minimum diver age is 12 years subject to a medical assessment as per AS4005.1. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by parent or adult over the age of 18 years.
• An Australian issued AS4005.1 dive medical is required. Some medical conditions may preclude you from diving, such as asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, pregnancy and some other medical conditions. Children must be accompanied by parent or guardian during the medical assessment.
