The Tour
Your balloon gently floats above the tips of blue gums and paper bark trees, with the wide open spaces of the Tablelands below with fantastic 360 degree views. Your Hot Air pilot is very experience and trained to Australia's highest standards, so sit back and enjoy the freedom of balloon flying while he looks after your safe and gentle ride. Keep an eye out for kangaroos and some of our unique local wildlife as you go. Binoculars are on board to capture sightings of local birdlife too. Come back to earth gently then continue the fun by helping us pack up. After ballooning you will be transferred back into Cairns to accommodation.
Itinerary
5.00 am
Your day starts with an early morning pick-up from your hotel by a Hot Air Cairns coach for your special package tour. (Transfer from Cairns to the ballooning grounds on the Tablelands is approximately one hour – accommodation pickup times are confirmed on making a booking).
6.30 am
Experience the fun & unique sensation of hot air ballooning in the Atherton Tablelands, Australia. We fly at Mareeba in the Cairns Highlands (previously called the Atherton Tablelands) Enjoy the picturesque landscape at sunrise, enjoy 30 minutes flying time. Breathe in the wide-open spaces! Fly in Australia’s largest fleet of balloons with a fun and highly trained crew to maximise the fun of your morning.
8.00 am
Return and Landing, hot air balloon pack-up and lots of laughs.
8.30 am
Come down to earth and enjoy champagne, fresh juices, eggs & bacon, tropical fruits & a hot and cold buffet is all yours as you relax in the serenity of the Cairns Highlands.
Port Douglas breakfast will be taken in Port Douglas unless nominated in advance. Choice of hot dishes, coffee, juices and finish approx 10.00am
10.00 am
Return transfers to your accommodation, or other places around town. Just let us know where you would like to go or which tour you would like to connect to (In advance of the day of travel).
