Fly to the famous Hodgkinson River gold fields and wander an Australian Heritage homestead and the ghost towns that remain in remote outback bushland. Your tour will include accommodation transfers from Cairns or Port Douglas accommodation, tropical coastline, mountain rainforest and outback scenic helicopter flights, a guided tour of Tyrconnell gold mine and historical homestead which includes the fascinating history of the area and the gold mine, a guided walk of the site and a demonstration of the rare 120 year old quartz crushing machine in operation, flight to Mount Mulligan escarpment and a visit of the historical and devastating mine explosion site. Your day will include refreshments as well as the opportunity to swim, take photos and explore the area.
