Reef Quest - 4 Day PADI Open Water Learn to Dive Course - Non Liveaboard Course
Duration: 4 Day Learn to Dive Course
Departs: Cairns Daily
Returns: Cairns Daily

Deep Sea Divers Den have been operating in Cairns for over 25 years, making them one of the longest established Dive Centers in Cairns. Their training facilities are under one roof, which is one of the many reasons they have also earned their PADI 5 star Instructor Development Centre status.
Deep Sea Divers Den’s friendly and personalized service allow them to offer one of the best learn to dive courses available in Cairns. They employ many bilingual PADI diving instructors with English, German and Japanese courses available.
The Budget Course option is designed for the traveler who is short of time and wants to learn to dive for the best possible price. This option does not allow for the opportunity to overnight on the reef (so your own land based accommodation is necessary for this course). On completion of your 4 PADI certification dives you will get the opportunity to do one 'fun dive' (time permitting). Deep Sea Divers Den's friendly, personalized service, combined with the warm tropical waters of the Great Barrier Reef, are the perfect combination for one of the very best PADI 4 day Open Water courses available. This dive course is ideal for the budget conscious traveler or those with time constraints.
The first 2 days of your course are spent learning the theory behind diving and learning new skills in the safety and comfort of their diver training pool.
This is followed by a 2 separate day excursions to select sites on the Outer Barrier Reef aboard the fast, modern, purpose built catamaran, Reef Quest. Each day your will complete the 2 PADI training dives aboard the vessel with lunch included as well as the option to do a little snorkeling.
- Day 1: The Deep Sea Divers Den bus will pick you up from your Cairns city accommodation at around 9am. You will spend the day learning theory & various skills in the pool. At lunch time the doctor will visit the facility for anyone who needs to complete the dive medical (AS4005-1). Your day should finish around 5pm when you will be dropped back to your Cairns city accommodation.
- Day 2: The Deep Sea Divers Den bus will pick you up from your Cairns city accommodation at around 9.00am. Again, you will spend the day finishing the theory & various skills in the pool. Please note that on days 1 & 2 meals, accommodation and your dive medical are not included.
- Day 3: The Deep Sea Divers Den bus will pick you up from your Cairns city accommodation at around 7.45am. You will be transferred to the outer reef aboard ReefQuest and do your first 2 training dives. At 3.00pm you will be transferred back into Cairns where the Deep Sea Diver’s Den bus will transfer you back to your Cairns City accommodation. (Lunch included)
- Day 4: The Deep Sea Divers Den bus will pick you up from your Cairns city accommodation at around 7.45am.
