The Tour
Our guide will give you a great insight into the wildlife, rainforest and local
culture as you travel along one of the most scenic drives in Australia. We stop
at Port Douglas to visit the unique Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary where
180 different animal species of the wetlands, rainforest and grasslands roam
freely. Experience up close the rare and endangered Cassowary as well as Koalas,
Tree Kangaroos and many more
Next we cross the Daintree River by cable ferry followed by a guided botanical
walk at Maardja, home to some of the oldest living rainforest. We journey on
to stunning Cape Tribulation for lunch and to explore the beach. We take a wildlife
cruise on the scenic Daintree River before heading to Mossman Gorge for a rainforest
walk or refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters. We call in at Port Douglas
before returning to Cairns accommodation.
