Relish the company of like-minded travellers and delight in the turquoise tropical waters of both the Coral and Arafura Seas. (L/D)
DAY 3-4: We disembark at high tide as precious cargo is unloaded onto the Seisia wharf. We meet fellow passengers and drive to Cape York, the most northerly point of the continent. There is ample time to regain your ‘land legs’ during our two day pause at our base camp. (Toilets & showers) (B/L/D)
DAY 5: An optional tour to Thursday and Horn Islands (own expense) is available today, you may take a pre-arranged fishing trip (own expense) or just laze about our base camp overlooking Torres Strait. (Toilets & showers) (B/D)
DAY 6: This morning we begin our southbound safari through Bamaga and ferry the Jardine River, venture onto the Telegraph Track and make camp at Twin Falls, the jewel in the Cape York crown. (Toilets & Swim/Spa) (B/L/D)
DAY 7: Heathlands Reserve features lower scrub country contrasting with peering termite mounds on our way to camp at Bramwell Cattle Station. (Toilets & showers) (B/L/D)
DAY 8: Grassed camp sites, air-conditioned shops and sealed roads are welcome highlights at Weipa. Time for a half day pre-arranged fishing trip (own expense) for the keen angler. (Toilets & showers) (B/L/D)
DAY 9: A Weipa mine tour (own expense) is available this morning before we drive south to the country atmosphere of Coen (Toilets & showers) (B/D)
DAY 10: We pause at historic Musgrave Telegraph Station then venture into the vast spaces of Lakefield National Park where there’s wildlife galore. (Toilets & showers) (B/L/D)
DAY 11: From Lakefield we veer across to Quinkan Aboriginal Rock Art country and arrive in Cooktown late afternoon. (Toilets & showers) (B/L)
DAY 12: Splendid rainforest cradles our coastal route to Cairns (weather permitting) via Cape Tribulation and the Daintree River and its fond farewells as our Safari draws to a close. (B/L)
