Destination: Cape York Duration: 8 Days
An 8 Day Accommodated Fly / Drive Safari begins with a low level scenic flight from Cairns to Bamaga from where you will travel by Four Wheel Drive to Cape York and celebrate your arrival at the Tip of the Cape.
There is an option of a day taking a tour to Thursday Island and/or Horne Island (at own expense) or perhaps just a day of leisure with a spot of fishing at the Seisa Wharf. Depart back through rugged Cape York and outback surrounds, including famous places of our outback heritage; such at the old telegraph track, Twin Falls, Fruit bat Falls and Bramwell Station. From there we travel on to the mining township of Weipa and then head south to Musgrave and Coen.
Our travels take us through the vast expansive beauty of Lakefield National Park with a stunning array of wildlife, and on towards Cooktown and further south along The Bloomfield Track before heading back into Cairns via Cape Tribulation and magnificent ancient Daintree Rainforests.
