13 Day Cape York Safari and Cruise aboard MV Trinity Bay – Departing Cairns via cargo ship Trinity Bay you will cruise the Coral Sea to Cape York and the Torres Straight Islands. After arriving at the Tip of the Cape there is opportunity for a day at leisure and perhaps an optional day tour of Thursday Island and/or Horne Island, before we prepare for your 4 Wheel Drive Safari though the outback areas of rugged Cape York, via Outback Laura, Cooktown, eerie Black Mountains and the Scenic Coastal Rainforest Route, Bloomfield Track, back through the magnificent World Heritage Listed Daintree Rainforest and arriving into Cairns via the scenic Captain Cook highway.

Itinerary
Day 1-3: It’s all aboard the M.V. Trinity Bay cargo ship early afternoon. Enjoy the companionship of like minded travellers as your supply ship plies the azure waters of the Coral Sea. (D)
Day 4: Disembark at Seisia wharf, then it’s celebrations as we stand at the very ‘top’ of Australia before returning to base camp overlooking Torres Strait. (Toilets & Showers) (B/L/D)
Day 5: A chance to tour Thursday Island (own expense), perhaps avail yourself of a fishing trip (own expense) or just relax and get your land legs firmly re-established. (Toilets & Showers) (B/D)
Day 6-7: We depart, drive the Telegraph Track to Twin Falls, surely one of the jewels of Cape York and explore this wonderland of watercourses. (Pit Toilets & swim) (B/L/D)
Day 8: The low scrub country of Heathlands Reserve features on our way to Bramwell Station where we enjoy true bush hospitality. (Toilets & showers) (B/L/D)
Day 9: The township of Weipa is a vast contrast to the remote areas already travelled. Keen anglers have time for a half day re-arranged (own cost) fishing trip. (Toilets & Showers) (B/L/D)
Day 10: A mine and lifestyle tour is available this morning (own expense) before we head south to the country atmosphere of Coen. (Toilets & Showers) (B/D)
Day 11: Musgrave Telegraph Station is our next stop before we venture into the wilderness of Lakefield National Park and its prolific wildlife. (Toilets and Showers) (B/L/D)
Day 12: We continue through Lakefield and pause at Quinkan Aboriginal Rock Art site and arrive in Cooktown late afternoon where there’s time to enjoy the highlights of this historic town. (Toilets & Showers) (B/L)
Day 13: Eerie Black Mountain, Lions Den Pub, Cedar Bay National Park, Bloomfield and Cape Tribulation are all highlights (weather permitting) on our last day. (B/L)
