Itinerary:
DAY 1: We depart Cairns around 7.00am and travel through Mareeba to Lakeland, then on to Quinkan Aboriginal rock art country before arriving at our camp by the Hann River. (Toilets and showers) (L/D)
DAY 2: Our route takes us to Musgrave Telegraph Station, Coen and our Archer River Roadhouse camp. (Toilets and showers) (B/L/D)
DAY 3: 4WD work begins in earnest today as we encounter crystal clear creeks and drive past monster termite mounds before camping at enchanting Bertie Creek (Bush toilet & swim) (B/L/D)
DAY 4: More real off-roading up the Telegraph Track, lunch at Fruit Bat Falls, ferry the Jardine River and finally arrive at our Base Camp overlooking Torres Strait. (Toilets & showers) (B/L/D)
DAY 5: Celebrations as we stand at the very “top” of our country. A tour to the ruins of historic Somerset and back to base camp in the afternoon. (Toilets and showers) (B/L/D)
DAY 6: Your choice today, options include a cruise to Thursday Island and Horn Islands or perhaps a pre-arranged fishing charter (own expense), you may even just relax at base camp. (Toilets and showers) (B/D)
DAY 7: Its farewell to Cape York as we head south through Bamaga to the absolute jewel of the peninsula, Twin Falls on the Elliot River. (Pit toilet and swim) (B/L/D)
DAY 8: A day of blissful relaxation exploring and enjoying one of the most beautiful places in Australia. (Pit toilet and swim) (B/L/D)
DAY 9: Our journey takes us south through Heathlands Nature Reserve to Gunshot Creek, detour down the bypass road to Bramwell Station and enjoy genuine bush hospitality. (Toilets and showers) (B/L/D)
DAY 10: Normally we arrive at Weipa about noon. Optional pre-arranged fishing trip (own cost) or to attend to personal chores at this quality camp ground. (Toilets & showers) (B/L/D)
DAY 11: An optional mine and town tour (own expense) is suggested before we head south to the country atmosphere of Coen. (Toilets and showers) (B/D)
DAY 12: We trace our route to Musgrave and enter the vast expanses of Lakefield National Park with its prolific wildlife and unusual landscapes. (Toilets & showers) (B/L/D)
DAY 13: More of Lakefield’s 1.6 million acres as we arrive in Cooktown mid-afternoon. We dine out tonight, a break from camp cooking. (Toilets & showers) (B/L)
DAY 14: The mysterious Black Mountain, Wujal Wujal, Bloomfield River and Cape Tribulation National Park are all highlights (weather permitting) on our last day. (B/L)

The Tour
We use 4WD vehicles, maximum 13 passengers, custom-built for passenger comfort and to withstand the ruggedness required in the areas that we operate. We have fully equipped camping trailers and our vehicles have air-conditioning, first aid kits, VHF, flying doctor radios, satellite phones and all seats are forward facing with seatbelts.
