Osprey Great Barrier Reef Day Cruise offers a truly memorable reef experience to the true outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Osprey will take you to two Great Barrier Reef locations in one day, and these locations have been carefully selected for the clarity of the water and the abundance and diversity of marine life. Reefs visited are, Norman, Saxon and Hastings Reefs and are chosen by the skipper on the day of travel to ensure the best protection and underwater visibility according to prevailing weather conditions.

This vessel caters to nervous, first time Snorkellers, Introductory Divers as well as the more experienced Certified Diver. After completing your day on the Great Barrier Reef, kick back and relax on deck as Miles and the gang entertain you on the trip home, with music, fun and laughter as well as being served a complimentary glass of wine and cheese, fruit platter! Down Under Cruise & Dive teamed up with local helicopter company, Down Under Helicopters, to provide our valued customers with greater freedom and choice. Down under Helicopters helicopter packages in association with Down Under Dive proved an immediate hit with to and from Down Under Dive & Cruise passengers from all walks of life.

Down Under Helicopters fly passengers daily to the Osprey vessel located on the outer Great Barrier Reef. You can enjoy the diverse marine and aquatic life visible from below the surface then combine this with the enormous scope and larger marine life and colours best visible from an easily manouverable helicopter.

Spend the day cruising to two stunning reef destinations aboard Osprey V. Enjoy lunch and underwater activities such as snorkelling and a semi-sub coral viewing tour all included. Then it’s time to join a scenic flight to view the majestic coral formations from the air. Your afternoon is complete with a relaxing cruise back to Cairns, where you’ll enjoy live entertainment, cheese & biscuits and a tropical fruit platter.

This unforgettable flight concludes by landing at our exclusive Helicopter pontoon at North Hastings Reef to board Osprey V. Here you’ll spend the afternoon enjoying swimming, snorkelling, semi-submersible coral viewing tours and lunch. Scuba diving, either for the beginner or experienced diver, is also available. Departing from Cairns, you’ll fly over four stunning reef locations, before joining the vessel Osprey V at Hastings Reef. Your reef experience will be complete enjoying lunch and a range of underwater activities such as swimming, snorkeling and semi-submersible coral viewing tour all included. Scuba diving, either for the beginner or experienced diver, is also available at extra cost. Your return flight to Cairns takes a different route highlighting the vastness and colours of the Great Barrier Reef and sand cays before returning to Cairns at approximately 4.00pm.
