The Cruise

Reef Quest is a purpose built snorkel and dive catamaran departing Cairns daily to visit the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef. Reef Quest travels out to the true Outer Great Barrier Reef in less then 90 minutes, giving you more time at the reef and less time traveling.

The crew of Reef Quest aims to offer you the best day out and make sure that your day adventure on the Great Barrier Reef is one that you will never forget! This company specializes in snorkeling and diving, with a high crew to passenger ratio (1:8) they are able to offer guided snorkeling tours for the nervous or first time snorkeller (flotation aids available on board the vessel); as well as catering to experienced Certified Divers and first time, Introductory Divers. Good quality Scuba Gear and instruction/briefings make your day diving experience on the Great Barrier Reef a day to remember.

Reef Quest will ensure that two Outer Barrier Reef locations are visited during the day, as this company has a choice of 17 permanent mooring locations on the Outer Barrier Reef to choose from, with ‘all weather access’ permit areas being a bonus on days where the wind conditions require extra shelter from prevailing winds! Equipment levels on the boat are excellent, with good quality dive and snorkel gear to suit everyone.

A delicious tropical lunch consisting of cold meats and a selection of fresh salads, with freshly baked bread and tropical fruits will also be served onboard with snacks and drinks available at the bar for purchase.

A brilliant vessel custom designed and built for its intended purpose as a dive boat, with hot fresh water showers and a great back dive deck ensure that you are supremely comfortable whilst you enjoy the wonders of the Reef! You can hire underwater cameras or purchase photo’s of the day to take home with you.
