The Cruise
Marine World, is a newly established Outer Reef platform and is located on the Eastern end of Moore Reef. Marine World is a purpose-built two-story pontoon featuring a spacious lower deck with ample undercover seating, an upper sundeck with sun lounges, underwater observatory, children’s safety swimming enclosure, easy access to the water for snorkellers, as well ease of access for divers, not to forget fresh water shower facilities!
Travelling time (to and from) Marine World on the Outer Barrier Reef is approximately one and a half hours each way from the port of Cairns. Guests are offered 5 full hours on the pontoon to experience unlimited snorkeling. All snorkelling equipment and instruction is provided, interactive coral viewing semi-submersible submarine tours with interactive commentary are also include as well as all the facilities Marine World has to offer.
After your morning activities a full hot and cold buffet lunch is served. Complimentary morning & afternoon tea, coffee and cakes are also included. A fully licensed bar will keep you refreshed at all times and soft drinks, ice creams, snacks and a selection of souvenirs are available for purchase.
This tour is a good option for families and the nervous first time snorkeller. Marine World offers all of the facilities of a pontoon tour, with smaller passenger numbers and more time on the Great Barrier Reef!

Upon arrival at 'Marine World', you will be provided with quality snorkel equipment, complete with instruction. Friendly crew will assist you and free snorkel lessons are available. Then join our Marine Naturalist for a personalised and informative guided tour of the reef (optional extra activity). Snorkel sites are supervised and swimming aids and flotation devices are available allowing all to experience the magic of the Great Barrier Reef.
Semi-submersible Submarine Coral Viewing Vessel with Interactive Commentary
The Semi-submersible Submarine coral reef viewing tour is another magical way to experience the reef and is excellent for non-swimmers. Tours include a fun and interactive commentary. This activity is included to further assure guests gain the maximum Great Barrier Reef experience.
Underwater Observatory
See the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef without getting your feet wet! The Fish and Coral Viewing Observatory, located underwater (on the lower level of 'Marine World') is open all day and is a great, interactive way of learning about the Reef and it's inhabitants in all weather!
Introductory Diving
An introductory dive requires no experience; friendly instructors will give first time divers an underwater experience they will never forget. There is no better way to experience the Great Barrier Reef. All equipment is provided and a highly trained instructor will be by your side throughout the dive. Introductory dives are subject to medical history - medical declaration to be completed onboard vessel. Also provided, is an onboard photographer who will capture for you all those magical memories and first time experiences on the Great Barrier Reef
Certified Diving
Certified divers can expect to see some of the best dive sites the Great Barrier Reef has to offer. Experience spectacular wall and drift dives away from the platform. Modern high quality dive gear with computers is available for hire onboard, or you may bring your own. All dives are guided by one of our highly trained and professional Dive Controllers
