Optional Extras

• Underwater Camera's are available for hire at a cost of A$35 per dive. This includes film and strobe.
• Dive Medical in accordance with Australian Standard, A.S 4005-1 (1992). This will be arranged by us day 1 of the course. A fee of A$49.50 is payable directly to the doctor.

At 16 exclusive sites, the water rarely drops below 22 degrees Celsius and between December to February is up around 30 degrees Celsius. Visibility is usually between 10 and 30 metres.

The dive training centre is located in the city of Cairns and features all the modern facilities need to learn to dive, as well as boastong Cairns deepest dive pool. At 4.5 metres in the middle students get and excellent idea of what pressure feels like under water.

Our PADI 5-Day Learn to Dive Course is broken down into two components

• 2 Days Pool and Classroom Training: The first two days are spent learning the theory and underwater skills of diving. At the end of day 2 you are invited to attend Reef Teach, a fun and informative marine biology presentation that will greatly enhance your reef experience.
• 3 Day 2 Nights Liveaboard Cruise: The next 3 days are spent living on board one of our premium purpose built vessels. Your first 4 dives will complete your open water certification and then as a certified diver you are able to undertake up to 5 more pleasure dives. This includes a guided night dive! These dives will be exciting and truly memorable. The night of your return to cairns, join the crew and fellow passengers for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Requirements:

• Minimum age is 12 years. No maximum age. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or adult over the age of 18.
• Some medical conditions may prevent you from diving. For example: heart disease, asthma, epilepsy or diabetes. If you are unsure of a particular medical condition, please check with us prior to reservation. Australian medical standards are different to those overseas. A medical obtained in another country will most likely NOT be valid in Australia.
• Ability to swim

Please Note: In the interests of safety we recommend that you should not fly or go to any altitude over 300m within 24 hours after your last dive.
