The Cruise
This fast comfortable catamaran takes you to the very edge of the Outer Barrier Reef in just over 1 hour, giving you 5 hours "out there" to swim, snorkel, dive or simply relax at 3 magnificent sites. The spacious air-conditioned saloon and open deck areas make perfect settings to enjoy morning and afternoon tea and the delicious tropical smorgasbord lunch.
Poseiden's high cruising speed ensures access to superb unspoilt reefs beyond the range of slower vessels. The crystal clear waters, beautiful corals and incredible fish-life found at the Agincourt, Ribbon Reefs 70km north east of Port Douglas and on the very outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef, enable them to offer the best possible day boat diving. This includes drift and wall dives, isolated pinnacles surrounded by pelagic fish, and coral gardens with their endless variety of colourful wrasses, cods, parrot fish, clown fish, angel fish, clams and anemones, that make a healthy living reef so beautiful.
Snorkellers
Snorkellers on Poseidon visit 3 different snorkeling locations on Agincourt Reef where they will enjoy unrestricted exploration of shallow lagoons, spectacular drop-offs and an unbelievable variety of fragile corals and colourful marine life. Beginner Snorkellers are provided with flotation devices and given personal one on one in-water assistance by our experienced and helpful guide. A trained snorkeling advisor is on board to ensure the proper use of snorkel equipment.
