Michaelmas Cay itself is a picturesque reef sand island surrounded by magical coral gardens teeming with an incredible diversity of marine life. Michaelmas Cay is a protected seabird sanctuary playing host to 27,000 migratory seabirds… one of the most important nesting sights in the Southern hemisphere, an absolute haven for any nature lover.

Speaking of the more adventurous: Let fully qualified dive instructors show you just how fun and easy scuba diving can be! Here you will start in the sheltered shallow waters of the cay, where you can practice the basic skills under the close supervision of your instructor. Once you feel confident, you are taken on an exhilarating tour of the surrounding coral gardens.
For the experienced diver, the best dive sites of the day are accessed with a custom designed dive tender. Experienced dive guides will give a full site briefing and ensure you have a first class dive on the Great Barrier Reef.
