The Cruise
On boarding Ocean Freedom you will be greeted on the wharf by one of the vessel’s friendly crew. As you depart to the Great Barrier Reef you will enjoy morning tea or coffee with Danish pastries in the comfortable lounge area of the vessel. Following an introductory safety briefing made fun and fabulous by the professional crew it’s time to kick back, relax and enjoy the one and half hour cruise to Upolu Cay on the Great Barrier Reef.

First Cay Site:
As you arrive you will enjoy a Glass Bottom boat tour over to Upolu Cay. ocean Freedom is the first boat to arrive at the beautiful Upolu Cay enjoy it uninterrupted! Here you are surrounded by stunning turquoise water and many types of corals, reef fish, rays, sea cucumbers, star fish. What a fantastic introduction to the reef! You can enjoy snorkeling from the sandy cay or perhaps even try a dive! All assistance is provided to ensure all guests, even the most nervous, get to enjoy the reef.

Lunch is a delicious self serve buffet with large smorgasbord lunch selection consisting of cold meats and chicken platters, prawns, smoked salmon and three delicious salads with a selection of fresh baked breads. Whilst lunch is being enjoyed you will cruise slowly to the second reef location.

Second Reef Site:
The Amazing "Wonder Wall" on the Outer Edge of Upolu Reef. Here you will view many different types of hard and soft corals in addition to fans, giant clams, sea turtles; a huge diversity and abundance of reef fish of all sizes! You can snorkel and dive here for the vessel and enjoy an informative adventure drift snorkel tour with our Marine Naturalist.

After a full 5 hours of unrushed pleasure on the Reef and Cay it is time to cruise home. On the way, the crew will serve you a sumptuous selection of tropical fruits, cheese and crackers as well as a decadent cake platter. This is the ultimate way to wind down after a magical day on The Great Barrier Reef. All too soon it’s time to say goodbye, as you disembark the vessel at around 4.30pm.
