The Diving
After a 4 or 5 day course you will receive your certification which is an internationally recognised Divers License. Whatever your questions on diving, from the simple to the most technically advanced, you can be sure of a helpful answer.
Everyone on the team is chosen not only for their specialist skills and experience, but also for their pleasing personality, caring attitude and ability to enjoy their job. That's why we're confident that you'll find right from the start on day one, that learning to dive can be fun. Day one and two of our dive course will get you into the swim of things at our own Diver Training Facility - Cairns largest diver training pool. After the pool and theory training you'll be ready to spend some fun-filled days and nights diving the fabulous Outer Great Barrier Reef. Out in the warm clear water of the Reef you'll experience the benefit of your classroom presentations and pool practice. By being well trained in the practical skills and safety procedures of diving by experienced Instructors you'll get so much more enjoyment out of your diving.
SV Atlantic Clipper is the premier overnight Great Barrier Reef Dive and Sail vessel in Cairns. A 140ft tall ship, she combines the adventure of romance of the 1890s with state-of-the-art equipment and modern amenities. Air conditioned throughout, she offers accommodation in comfortable 2, 3 or 4 berth cabins. Her spectacular saloon with large dining area, lounge and cocktail bar reflects her nautical charm. All meals are prepared daily in her commercial galley by our on board chef. There is a spa on the foredeck to soak in or join the crew to hoist the sails as we cruise to the next reef. Life aboard is as active or relaxed as you like.
The SV Atlantic Clipper is permanently based on the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef sailing daily (approximately 1 hour duration) to a new reef to offer a greater variety of unique diving. SV Atlantic Clipper is met daily by our fast transfer vessel travelling via Michaelmas Reef allowing you to spend as many days and nights aboard as you wish.
