This vessel offers a friendly relaxed atmosphere and carries a maximum of 20 passengers to two sites on Upolu Reef each day from Cairns. You depart from the Marlin Marina at 8.00am and motor out to location under sail. On the way out the friendly personable crew will offer morning tea and coffee as well as brief you on the reef locations that you will be visiting.

Upolu reef lies at the very edge of the outer Great Barrier Reef and is now a protected World Heritage listed sight. The shallow crystal clear waters of Upolu Reef allow for snorkeling, diving and swimming. In the relatively sheltered reef lagoon you will see a multitude of reef fish, giant clams, sea turtles, rays, starfish and and nudibranches!

A marine naturalist will help you to identify them and tell you something of their lives in the reef community. You can explore the vessel’s private snorkel and dive locations with friendly experienced guides who will provide a fun and informative tour of this uniquely diverse marine environment. With over four hours spent at the reef you will visit two sites, allowing plenty of time to snorkel and dive or just relax in the shade.

Certified Diving comes with full gear and instruction and you can upgrade to take the guided dive option. Introductory diving for first time divers is also available (subject to passing a Dive Medical Questionnaire).

On the trip home the crew will serve a complimentary glass of wine with cheese and tropical fruit platter. Perhaps you may also like to look out for dolphins, turtles or even whales (seasonal) along the way. Whatever your fancy may be, this vessel will offer you a great day out exploring the best of the Great Barrier Reef!
