Nature sets the perfect scene for snorkelling and diving. Whether you choose to dive, snorkel, or stay dry, you will marvel at the spectacle that is the Great Barrier Reef. Quality dive and snorkel equipment is supplied with free tuition for snorkellers. Introductory Scuba Dives (no experience necessary), dive packages for Certified Divers, Night Dives and Advanced Open Water Courses are all available on-board.

This vessel carries a maximum of 12 passengers plus crew and will do a two day one night itinerary out of the port of Cairns three times each week. All meals (including snacks, morning and afternoon teas), accommodation and linen, hot fresh water showers and activities are included in the trip’s pricing.

This sailing excursion is a wonderful introduction to the best of the Great Barrier Reef on a liveaboard overnight basis out of Cairns, without the regular crowds that the bigger dive vessels tend to cater for.

If you want to enjoy scuba diving with a small group of like-minded individuals, this live aboard sailing adventure should fit exactly what you are looking for. The vessel’s crew and especially the dive instructors love to dive and of course with such a small passenger carrying capacity sailing tour, you will have plenty of personalized attention. For the beginner or diver that needs a refresher, the smaller groups provide a good setting where the utmost attention is paid to your safety. From a diver’s perspective you will be able to explore and discover the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef, without huge crowds or factory line diving with a large number of other divers in the water surrounding you. The Coral Sea Dreaming’s dive instructors will be able to plan the diving to suit your level of comfort and style of diving. It is recommended that you may ask your instructors onboard for a ‘custom’ dive brief to suit your needs.

If you wish to be challenged (this is good for the more experienced divers) then you will be offered the option for night dives, drift dives, swim-throughs, as well as following ravines and canyons. The Coral Sea Dreaming’s captain and dive instructor will work together to find the dive environment that suits you and the conditions, in order to maximize your experience.

Introductory Diving is available to those who have never dived before on successful completion on a Dive Medical Questionnaire which is given to passengers by the vessel's Dive Instructors.

Arrive onboard and enjoy a light breakfast before departing for the Great Barrier Reef. Morning tea will be served while sailing to your first reef location. On arrival at the reef enjoy time to snorkel and dive, followed by lunch and more scuba diving, snorkeling or sunbathing. Relax while dinner is served on deck with the reef and sunset in the background.

Wake up on the reef and enjoy fresh coffee or tea and a morning swim, snorkel or dive. Depart to the next reef location, specially selected by the vessel’s experienced crew. A full breakfast is served and then in water activities resume or you can just laze around on the deck. Later in the day enjoy lunch and some more time before 'Hoisting the Sails' as you prepare to journey back to Cairns from the Great Barrier Reef.
