Your balloon gently floats above the tips of blue gums and paper bark trees, with the wide open spaces of the Tablelands below with fantastic 360 degree views. Your Hot Air pilot is very experience and trained to Australia's highest standard; enjoy the freedom of balloon flying while he looks after your safe and gentle ride. Keep an eye out for kangaroos and some of our unique local wildlife as you go. Binoculars are on board to capture sightings of local birdlife too. Come back to earth gently then continue the fun by helping us pack up.

Transfer to Tjapukai Theatre Enjoy all of the attractions that the Tjapukai Theatre has on offer: Tjapukai History, Dance + Creation Theatre + Cultural Village.

Soon, it is time to board Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for your scenic journey to Kuranda Village, enjoying the two rainforest mid stations and rainforest boardwalks along the route. You’ll arrive into Kuranda Village at approximately 1.45pm to enjoy your free time inclusion in Kuranda Vallage.

Board the Kuranda Scenic Train at 3.15pm for a 3.30pm Kuranda Scenic Train departure to carry you back into Cairns. This journey will allow for spectacular elevated views of the Barron Falls and Barron Gorge before arriving back into Cairns at approximately 4.45pm. Your day ends with complimentary return transfers to accommodation in Cairns with a Down Under Tours.

5.00 am
Your day begins with a complimentary pick-up at your accommodation hotel by a Hot Air Cairns coach for your special package tour, one hour transfer, pickup times confirmed on making a reservation.

Sunrise
You will experience the fun & unique sensation of hot air ballooning in the Atherton Tablelands, Australia. You take off from Mareeba in the Cairns Highlands (previously called the Atherton Tablelands). Enjoy the picturesque landscape at sunrise and breathe in the wide-open spaces! This operator offers Australia’s largest fleet of balloons and a fun and highly trained crew to maximise the fun of your morning.

8.00 am
Return and Landing, help the crew with ‘balloon pack-up’ and enjoy lots of laughs.

9.30am
Check in with a Down Under Tours representative at Tjapukai Theatre and Cultural Park. Your tour representative will provide you with directions and timings for your package tour along with your Skyrail tickets. Enjoy Tjapukai History, Dance + Creation Theatre + Cultural Village. Please note that there is an addtional $2.00 per person Fuel levy to be paid on board on the day direct to Down Under Tours.

12.30 pm
Prepare to board Skyrail for the journey through World Heritage listed rainforest. Take the opportunity to stop off at the two unique rainforest mid-stations and boardwalks en-route for a more informative look at your rainforest surroundings

1.45 pm
Arrive into Kuranda Village to enjoy free time to shop and visit an array of attractions. Take in lunch at a sidewalk restaurant (lunch at own expense). Market days are every day but the main market days are Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

03.15 pm
Check in at the Kuranda Railway Station ticketing office for your journey down to Cairns, stop at the scenic Barron Gorge to enjoy the spectacular views as you make your way back into historic Freshwater Station.

04.50 pm
The Kuranda Scenic Train arrives at historic Freshwater Station, your accommodation transfers back into Cairns are organized via Down Under Tours luxury coach.
