Your balloon gently floats above the tips of blue gums and paper bark trees, with the wide open spaces of the Tablelands below with fantastic 360 degree views. Your ballooning pilot is very experienced and trained to Australia's highest standards, so sit back and enjoy the freedom of balloon flying while he looks after your safe and gentle ride. Keep an eye out for kangaroos and some of our unique local wildlife as you go. Binoculars are on board to capture sightings of local birdlife too. Come back to earth gently then continue the fun by helping us pack up.

After ballooning you will be transferred back into Cairns to accommodation for a short break before being picked up to commence your rafting tour. Only 20 minutes from the centre of Cairns, the Barron River is a fantastic introduction to White Water Rafting. The Barron River offers guaranteed water levels all-year-round and what’s more; no experience is necessary to raft these Grade 2 & 3 rapids! Fully trained guides will give you all the tuition and equipment needed for this exciting afternoon of white water rafting!

5.00 am Pick-up at hotel by coach for your special package tour and transfer to ballooning grounds.

Alternate for Port Douglas Passengers Please note that Hot Air Ballooning operator will drop Port Douglas passengers into Cairns City for approximately 4 hours of shopping and exploring until 2.00pm for collection by White Water Rafting Company to commence rafting tour. We recommend pickup from the Shangri-La Hotel at The Marlin Marina, Cairns). Please specify if you would prefer to be returned to Port Douglas for approx 1:15pm hotel pickup.

2.00 pm Approx Your experienced whitewater rafting River Guide will pick you up from hotel or other designated pick-up point(if preferred) and transfer you to the top of the Barron River (Grade 3 rapis) just a short 20 minutes drive from Cairns.

2.30 pm Arrive at Barron Gorge Power Station. Split up into crews for briefing. You'll spend a bit over one and a half hours on the river. The Barron River is a Grade 3 river, great as an introductory experience and for those looking for a shorter rafting trip than the full day Tully River Rafting Experience.

5.00 pm Finish off whitewater rafting trip with return transfers on Rafting coach to your accommodation, or other places around town. Just let the driver know where you would like to go.
